Directory creation and enumeration via crafted foldername
Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper input validation in BoltCMS 5.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to create and enumerate directories via crafted foldername input. The foldername parameter accepts crafted values without sufficient validation and passes them into directory-handling behavior that creates or enumerates directories. No authentication or user interaction is required; public sources do not disclose a more specific code locus or explain how denial of service occurs.
