Command execution via unsanitized POST data
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Command injection in WAVLINK AERIAL X 1200M firmware M79X3.V5030.180719 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via POST. The adm.cgi handler directly splices received POST data into a system function without neutralizing command syntax. Exploitation requires a concurrently active administrative session and grants command execution with the CGI process's privileges.
