Unauthenticated metadata exposure via nonempty export key
Published Jul 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authentication bypass in Montala ResourceSpace 9.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to export collection metadata via an HTTP request. The csv_export_results_metadata.php endpoint skips authenticate.php whenever the k query parameter is nonempty, then generates a CSV export. No account is required, and the exported fields can include personal data that ordinary administrator-driven exports can redact.
