Reflected XSS via unvalidated diff-view type
Published Sep 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in DokuWiki before 2022-07-31a allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via crafted difftype input. The PageDiff handler accepts the difftype request value as a display preference and inserts it into a table class attribute without validation or escaping. A victim must open an attacker-crafted diff-page link; injected script runs in the DokuWiki origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
