Diagnostic information disclosure via rendered exception stack traces
Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Information disclosure in DSpace JSPUI 4.0 through 6.3 allows remote attackers to read exception details via error responses. The internal.jsp error page iterates through the request's exception chain and writes each exception message and full stack trace into the HTTP response. No authentication or user interaction is required, but disclosure occurs only when an Internal System Error is triggered and exposes diagnostic details rather than repository content directly.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
