CVE-2022-31188Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server-side request forgery via remote URL fetch

Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Server-side request forgery in CVAT before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to make the server request attacker-supplied URLs. The task download path accepted remote data-source URLs without restricting schemes or destination addresses; the fix validates HTTP(S), resolves DNS, and rejects non-global IPs. Unauthenticated network attackers can submit crafted remote-source URLs, enabling access to internal or external resources from the CVAT server.
