CVE-2022-31151Network attack vector

Cookie disclosure via uncleared cross-origin redirect headers

Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Information disclosure in Node.js Undici before 5.7.1 allows remote attackers to obtain cookies via a cross-origin redirect. The redirect handler removes authorization headers when the destination origin changes but forwards caller-supplied Cookie headers unchanged. Exploitation requires enabled redirects and an attacker-controlled redirect target; the default maxRedirections setting of 0 prevents the vulnerable path.
