Authenticated access via unchecked token expiration
Published Jul 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Improper session expiration in FlyteAdmin 1.1.30 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reuse expired external-IdP tokens. ValidateAccessToken verified the token signature, decoded its claims, and checked audience values without invoking JWT claim validation for expiration. The flaw applies only when an external identity provider issues tokens and preserves the authenticated user's existing API access after expiration.
