Restricted branch creation via missing permission check
Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Authorization bypass in Enalean Tuleap allows remote authenticated users to create Git branches despite repository restrictions. The POST git/:id/branches handler creates a branch without enforcing the repository's fine-grained branch-write permissions. Any authenticated user able to call the REST endpoint can add a branch to a repository whose rules should deny that operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
