Malicious plugin execution via signature versioning flaw

Plugin signature bypass in Grafana before 8.5.14 and 9.0.0 through 9.1.7 allows attackers to run malicious plugins. The signature verifier's version-handling logic permits the bypass, but Grafana Labs has not disclosed which comparison or validation operation is wrong. Exploitation requires a server administrator to download and run the crafted plugin, which then executes with Grafana's available privileges.
