Reflected XSS via unescaped exception messages
Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026
Reflected XSS in Backpack CRUD before 4.0.63, 4.1.0 through 4.1.68, and 5.0.0 through 5.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute script. Backpack's provided error views render exception messages into HTML without escaping them, allowing attacker-controlled message content to reach the response. Exploitation requires those views, an undisclosed triggering condition, and a targeted user or administrator opening a malicious link.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
