Protected-field disclosure via unfiltered LiveQuery events
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Information disclosure in Parse Server before 4.10.13 and 5.0.0 through 5.2.3 allows remote attackers to read protected fields via LiveQuery. The LiveQueryController pushed complete current and original objects without applying DatabaseController.filterSensitiveData to subscription results. Exposure requires LiveQuery on a class with protectedFields and a client able to subscribe; disclosed values include fields intended to remain hidden.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
