CVE-2022-31109Network attack vector

URL poisoning via trusted X-Forwarded headers

Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

HTTP host-header injection in Laminas Project laminas-diactoros before 2.11.1 allows remote attackers to poison generated URLs. ServerRequestFactory::fromGlobals() trusts X-Forwarded-Host and X-Forwarded-Proto values from untrusted sources when constructing the request URI. Exposure requires direct access or an untrusted proxy; poisoned absolute links can enable cross-site scripting or direct users to attacker-controlled hosts.
