Authenticated service crash via unbounded response read
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Uncontrolled resource consumption in KubeEdge CloudCore allows remote authenticated users to crash the service through its Router REST handler. The handler requests a preconfigured endpoint and reads its entire HTTP response into memory without imposing a size limit. Exploitation requires cloud authentication and an enabled router module; memory exhaustion interrupts CloudCore without reported data exposure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 1.10.0, < 1.10.2
- Affected versionversion== 1.11.0
