Authenticated room-settings disclosure via missing ownership check
Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Incorrect authorization in BigBlueButton Greenlight before 2.12.6 allows remote authenticated users to view settings for any room. The room-settings request handler loads settings for an attacker-supplied room identifier without checking that the requester owns the room or is an administrator. A signed-in account and a target room identifier are sufficient; exposure is limited to the room's configuration data.
