CVE-2022-31035Network attack vector

Victim-context script execution via unvalidated URL schemes

Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Stored XSS in affected Argo CD releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted deployment link. The ApplicationURLs component placed external-resource URLs directly into link targets without rejecting javascript: or data: schemes. An authorized manifest editor must inject the URL and a victim must click it; the script then acts with the victim's UI and API permissions, including resource modification or deletion.
