Remote code execution via unsanitized package input
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Command injection in Hyperledger Indy Node 1.12.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through pool-upgrade requests. The pool-upgrade handler passes the transaction package value to an operating-system command check before authorization and without stripping shell separators. Any ledger identity permitted to submit the transaction can inject commands that run on network nodes without operator interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
