CVE-2022-30997

Administrative controller access via hard-coded credentials

Published Jun 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in Yokogawa STARDOM FCN/FCJ R4.10 through R4.31 allow attackers to alter controller configuration. The dual-redundant FCN/FCJ CPU-module environment embeds credentials that grant administrative access instead of requiring unique secrets. Only dual-redundant CPU configurations are exposed; the credentials cannot access single-CPU controllers, but permit configuration reads and writes or tampered firmware installation.
