Unsafe Java deserialization in Gentics CMS before 5.43.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a malicious ZIP archive. The Enterprise CMS import option extracts serializedjava.bin and deserializes the embedded Java object without safe type restrictions, allowing attacker-controlled payload execution on the server. Exploitation requires a low-privilege account with access to the import workflow and can result in server-side code execution.
