CVE-2022-30969Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via GET validation request

Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins Autocomplete Parameter Plugin 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. A form-validation endpoint accepts a provided Groovy script through a request that is not restricted to POST and executes it without sandbox protection. Exploitation requires an authenticated Jenkins administrator's browser to send the forged request, after which the script runs with Jenkins controller privileges.
