CVE-2022-30950Network attack vector

Command execution via named-pipe buffer overflow

Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Buffer overflow in Jenkins WMI Windows Agents Plugin 1.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on Windows agents. Jenkins identifies the locus only as the bundled Windows Remote Command library and has not published the affected function, buffer, or input field. Reachability requires access to the agent's named pipe, and successful exploitation runs commands on that Windows agent rather than the controller.
