Pipeline data disclosure via controller-local SCM checkout
Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Jenkins REPO Plugin 1.14.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read limited SCM data via pipelines. RepoScm checkout accepts a local path or a manifest remote fetch value beginning with file:// when the workspace is on the controller, so checkout reads controller-resident repositories. Pipeline-configuration access is required, and exposure is limited to information obtainable from other projects' SCM contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
