CVE-2022-30944

Credential disclosure via plaintext transaction payloads

Published Aug 18, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025

Credential exposure in all Intel AMT and Intel Standard Manageability versions allows local users to read management credentials from memory. When HTTP basic or digest authentication uses non-TLS port 16992, raw transaction payloads remain in operating-system memory as plaintext. Direct memory access requires elevated local privileges, and disclosure is limited to AMT or Standard Manageability credentials.
