Profile modification via forged myprofile request
Published Jun 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Employee Leaves Management System 2.1 allows remote attackers to alter user profiles via /myprofile.php. The endpoint accepts state-changing profile submissions without validating a request-specific anti-CSRF token, allowing forged requests to change fields such as usernames and phone numbers. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to load attacker-controlled content, and the documented consequence is unauthorized profile modification.
