Code execution via unchecked X1 file parsing
Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Fuji Electric Tellus Lite V-Simulator 4.0.12.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted X1 file. The V-Simulator 6 X1 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated data structure. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and code runs in the current process.
