Admin XSS via unsanitized page_title
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FUDForum 3.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in administrators' browsers via page_title. The Page Manager in the Admin Control Panel renders the page_title parameter without adequate validation or output encoding, allowing injected JavaScript to run in a victim's browser. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator and victim interaction; the script can act with the victim's application privileges and access data exposed to that session.
