Unauthenticated device reboot via exposed webpage
Published Sep 20, 2022 · Updated May 29, 2025
Missing authentication in Festo CPX-CEC-C1 2.0.12 and earlier and CPX-CMXX 1.2.34 rev.269404 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot devices. The embedded web server exposes a critical reboot function without requiring authentication, so requesting that page immediately restarts the control block. Network reachability to TCP port 80 is the only reported gate; the resulting service interruption is limited to device reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
