Implicit intent hijacking in Finder on Samsung Mobile Devices Q, R, and S before SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 allows local attackers to access protected information. Finder routes an implicit intent to a component selected by another application, allowing an unprivileged app to invoke the flow with Finder's privilege instead of an explicit, access-controlled target. The attacker must run code locally on an affected Samsung device; the documented consequence is disclosure of some protected information, with no reported service interruption.
