CVE-2022-30754

Privileged activity launch via implicit intent hijacking

Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Implicit intent hijacking in AppLinker before SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 allows local users to start activities with AppLinker privileges. AppLinker issues an implicit Android intent that an untrusted application can intercept and redirect, causing selected activities to run in AppLinker's privileged context. A malicious application on an affected Android 10, 11, or 12 device is required, and the published consequence is limited to launching certain activities.
