Local file disclosure via implicit PendingIntent
Published Jun 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
PendingIntent hijacking in Samsung SmartThings before 1.7.85.25 allows local users to access application files through an implicit Intent. The affected code uses an implicit Intent for a PendingIntent without constraining its recipient, permitting interception by another local application. A low-privileged local application is required, and disclosure is limited to files reachable through the hijacked PendingIntent.
