Improper input validation in RemoteViews on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jun-2022 Release 1 allows attackers to launch privileged activities. RemoteViews accepts activity-launching data without the validation needed to prevent an unprivileged caller from crossing a privilege boundary. The attack is local and requires code execution on an affected Android 10, 11, or 12 device; Samsung discloses no more specific trigger or launched activity.
