Out-of-bounds read in the NCIE Scanner module in Trend Micro Security 2022 through 17.7.1130 allows local users to disclose sensitive information. The module inadequately validates user-supplied data and reads beyond the end of an allocated buffer, exposing adjacent memory. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on Windows; the disclosure can support a separate chain that executes code as SYSTEM.
