CVE-2022-30670Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via API authorization bypass

Published Jun 16, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper authorization in Adobe RoboHelp Server before RHS 11 Update 3 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator privileges. Server API requests fail to enforce authorization when a non-administrative account invokes privilege-sensitive operations, allowing account elevation to full server administrator. Authentication is required, no user interaction is needed, and exploitation changes authorization rather than directly disclosing data or interrupting service.
