Memory disclosure via malformed CDR bounds check
Published Jun 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Illustrator 2022 26.0.2 and earlier and Illustrator 2021 25.4.5 and earlier allows attackers to read memory. A malformed CDR file reaches an Illustrator decoder whose improper bounds check permits memory access beyond the intended buffer. A victim must open the crafted file; exploitation discloses unintended process memory and can expose layout data that weakens ASLR.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
