CVE-2022-30661

Code execution via unchecked embedded font length

Published Jun 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in Adobe InDesign 17.2.1 and earlier and 16.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. Its embedded-font parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length heap buffer without first validating the data length. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the current process context.
