Code execution via out-of-bounds PDF buffer write
Published Jun 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe InCopy 17.2 and earlier and 16.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF file. The PDF parser writes crafted data past the end of an allocated buffer, corrupting memory in the current InCopy process. Exploitation requires the victim to open the malicious file or visit a page that supplies it, and resulting code runs with the current user’s privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
