Service interruption via unrestricted proxy requests
Published Sep 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in draw.io before 20.2.8 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through unauthenticated proxy requests. ProxyServlet accepts a user-supplied URL without an enablement gate or port allowlist, forwards the request, and returns errors that reveal request outcomes. No account or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is limited to service availability.
