Arbitrary code execution via font use-after-free
Published Sep 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Illustrator 26.0.2 and earlier and 25.4.5 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious file. Font parsing accesses an object after its memory is freed, but Adobe has not disclosed the responsible parser, object, or lifetime error. A victim must open the file; successful exploitation runs code in the current user's context on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
