Arbitrary code execution via embedded-font buffer overrun
Published Sep 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 2022 26.0.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted font. Illustrator 2021 25.4.5 and earlier is also affected; embedded-font parsing writes crafted data past an allocated buffer. Opening a malicious file or visiting a malicious page triggers code execution in the current process and current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
