CVE-2022-30618Network attack vector

Authenticated data exposure via API-user relations

Published May 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper sensitive-data handling in Strapi before 3.6.10 or 4.1.10 allows remote authenticated users to read API-user secrets through the admin panel. Admin API responses fail to remove private attributes from API users reached through direct or indirect content-type relationships, exposing emails and password-reset tokens. An admin-panel account and enabled password-reset endpoints are required; leaked tokens can enable account takeover and broader privilege abuse.
