Admin account takeover via leaked reset tokens
Published May 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Strapi 3.0.0 through 3.6.9 and 4.0.0 beta2 through beta15 allows remote authenticated users to obtain reset tokens. Admin API responses fail to remove private user attributes when serializing direct or indirect creator and updater relationships to accessible content. Admin-panel access and a related content record are required; a leaked token enables account takeover through the password-reset workflow.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
