Authenticated file tampering via access control bypass
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authorization bypass in Cybozu Garoon 4.0.0 through 5.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter file information or delete files. The file-management and other application handlers fail to enforce operation restrictions on authenticated requests, permitting unauthorized metadata changes and deletion. A valid Garoon account is required, and the documented consequence is file tampering or removal rather than arbitrary code execution.
