Authenticated ftlserver administrative privilege escalation
Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Privilege escalation in affected TIBCO FTL editions allows remote authenticated users to gain full administrative access to ftlserver. TIBCO identifies the affected locus only as the ftlserver component and has not published the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Reaching the flaw requires low-privileged network access; successful exploitation crosses the server's authorization boundary and grants full administrative control.
