Remote heap corruption via Passwords use after free
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Passwords before 105.0.5195.52 allows remote attackers to trigger heap corruption via a crafted HTML page after specific UI interactions. The Passwords component accesses memory after it has been released when the page and user-driven interface sequence reaches the flawed code path. Exploitation requires convincing a user to perform those interactions; successful corruption can compromise browser confidentiality, integrity, and availability, while the public record does not describe a reliable exploit chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
