Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path
Published Nov 11, 2022 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Uncontrolled search path handling in Intel Glorp 1.0.0 allows local users to escalate privileges through a local attack. Intel has not disclosed the affected executable, search-path element, or resource-loading operation that consumes the unsafe path. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, high attack complexity, and user interaction, after which the local user's privileges are elevated.
