CVE-2022-30535Network attack vector

Authenticated secret disclosure via ingress object handling

Published Aug 4, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper input validation in F5 NGINX Ingress Controller 2.x before 2.3.0 and all 1.x allows remote authenticated users to read controller secrets. The controller accepts crafted ingress object fields and processes them without sufficient validation, exposing credentials available to its service account. Access requires authorization to create or update ingress objects; the documented impact is confidential secret disclosure without integrity or availability effects.
