Browser script execution via unencoded page parameter
Published May 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in School Dormitory Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The admin/inc/navigation.php code places the page query parameter into a JavaScript string without output encoding, so a quote escapes the string and injects script. Exploitation requires a logged-in management user to follow the crafted admin URL, and injected script runs with that user's application-session access.
