Database read and modification via unsanitized month parameter
Published May 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in School Dormitory Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through the month parameter. The daily collection report handler inserts the GET month value into a MySQL query without parameterization, allowing boolean-, error-, time-, and UNION-based payloads. No authentication is required, and successful exploitation exposes or changes records available to the application's database account.
