Remote code execution via crafted ZIP upload
Published May 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Mingsoft MCMS 5.2.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted ZIP archive. The /ms-mcms/file/upload.do endpoint accepts a ZIP archive without blocking dangerous executable content, leaving uploaded server-side code reachable for execution. The published CVSS assessment requires no prior privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code in the MCMS service context.
