Heap corruption via crafted WebUI interactions
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Heap-buffer overflow in Chrome WebUI on Chrome OS before 105.0.5195.52 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted UI interactions. Google has not published the affected WebUI code path or the incorrect memory operation that permits the out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires remote attackers to convince a Chrome OS user to perform specific crafted UI interactions; the public record does not distinguish a crash from code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
